  • Intertape polyester/rope-fiber tape with pressure-sensitive thermosetting adhesive is designed for high-temperature applications up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176 degrees Celsius).
  • Product applications include holding, wrapping and tabbing, masking PCB gold fingers during wave solder and HAL operations, powder coat masking, and more.
  • Intertape LA 26 is a natural opaque color and wound on a 3 in. diameter core.
  • Carrier/Backing: polyester film/robe-fiber flatback. Adhesive: thermosetting rubber. Thickness: 6 mils (carrier, adhesive) 4 mils (carrier). Adhesion: 60 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 45 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Elongation: 2%.

    Product Description

Intertape LA-26 Polyester/Rope-Fiber Laminate Tape combines the moisture, chemical, abrasion and puncture resistance of polyester film with the machine direction strength and dimensional stability of rope-fiber paper backing. Intertape LA 26 tape, with pressure-sensitive thermosetting adhesive, is designed for high-temperature applications up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176 degrees Celsius). It is ideal for tabbing, holding and wrapping, masking PCB gold fingers during wave solder and HAL operations. It can also be used for “powder coat” masking. Since Permacel 99 was discontinued and was specifically written into the ASTM D3359-08 Measuring Adhesion by Tape Test our customers have sought out alternatives. They have found the IPG LA-26 tape product to be “suitable” for this test, although users should report in their documentation any differences in the results of their testing compared to past results.
